Since this Pere Ubu Performance is one of my alltime favorite videos, so I'm obliged to put it here. I can't think of a more quirky, intense and heartfelt performance, at least not offhand. Lead singer Dave Thomas is a wonderful lunatic and the late great Jim Jones contrasts the insanity with beautifully crafted riffs on guitar. Pere Ubu was always involved in sonic experimentation, blending noise and melody into honest and true works of contemporary art.
